Prayer changes things.

Prayer changes us. Prayer involves humanity in the will of God and the will of God in humanity.

Jesus was a pray-er. He prays still. (Mk. 1:35, Rom. 8:25-27) Kingsfield is a praying people engaged in a spiritual work, with spiritual, emotional, physical, social and even political consequences.

By Jesus' example, and biblical instruction, we are invited to pray in all things, to pray persistently, to pray that we will be who God intends us to be, to pray for what we need, to pray for the sick, to pray for open doors for ministry, to pray against temptation, to pray for followers of Jesus everywhere, to pray for leaders ... to pray for His kingdom to come.

How would you like us to be praying for you?
Kingsfield would like to pray for God to meet you in your need. We want to pray that God would fulfill all He intends for you.

If you would like to request that someone pray for you - perhaps a pastoral care leader (our Pastoral Care Team) and/or a pastor - you have a few choices:

• If you would like to request prayer during office hours (Monday-Friday 9am-2:30pm) you may call (519-236-4933) or email Anita Gingerich, our prayer line coordinator. If after hours, please email  Pastor Phil Wagler or call him at 519-236-4709, especially if the matter is urgent.

• If the matter is less urgent, and you will be attending a Sunday gathering in Kingsfield, or another prayer gathering of the church (see our Calendar) you may wish to share it with the congregation either through the leaders of that service, or openly when 'prayer requests' are invited.

• If the matter is private and you'd rather not share it widely, you can email a description of your request to Dianne Loerchner (Leader of Pastoral Care in Kingsfield), or call the Kingsfield ZMC office at 519-236-4933.

When making your request, please:

1. Briefly describe your situation,
2. How we can pray for you?
3. Indicate whether this request should be shared widely or only with a couple individuals (ie. pastors or pastoral care leaders),
4. Indicate whether you would like someone to follow-up with you and when you would like that.

Thank you for trusting us with the important aspects of your life.

If you wish to contact one of our pastoral care team members to talk and to share your need, you can email one of the following:

Counselling

For those seeking professional counselling, Kingsfield enjoys a partnership with By Peaceful Waters, a team of counsellors who are able to integrate their professional training with their Christian faith. Click here.

From James 5:13-16, in the New Testament:
"Are any of you suffering hardships? You should pray. Are any of you happy? You should sing praises. Are any of you sick? You should call for the elders of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord. Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well. And if you have committed any sins, you will be forgiven.

Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results."
(New Living Translation)
