ZMC Women's Missions & Material Committee meets regularly (2nd Thursday of the month, morning & afternoon) and is made of mostly senior women. This is a time for quilting & tying comforters. We also sponsor a child through Compassion, regularly taking turns writing letters, and sending additional gifts at Christmas and birthday. Any woman of any age is welcome to join us. For coming events - see Events calendar.
Many women and girls (plus Tom) came together on February 12, 2009 to tie comforters that will be donated to mission around the world.

Heart to Heart
Mission Statement: Joining women together in Truth, one friend at a time.
Heart to Heart (H2H) runs two sessions per year: one in the spring and the second in the fall and is open to all women of any age and station in life. These sessions run for 9 weeks each, every Tuesday morning. Faith Studies are offered from 9:30 - 10:30am, a coffee break at 10:30 and at 11:00am - 12:00pm, a skill/craft elective is offered.
Heart to Heart provides a friendly and open atmosphere in which women from ZMC and area churches and community can come together to build meaningful relationships and connections with other women. H2H is operated using group settings in our faith studies as well as having fun and learning together during our elective times. H2H is especially "mom-friendly" as free child care is provided for each morning.
Our Spring session begins on Tuesday, March 24th and runs until Tuesday, May 19th. To pre-register, please contact Jenn Ramer.
Girl's Night Out
This group developed out of a longing within several women's hearts for intentional spiritual growth. Consistently carving out space for God and his Word was one of the main goals.
Our hope is that women will draw closer to God as they stop the rush in their lives and quiet themselves before him. Through the use of Lectio Divina we are encouraged towards a deeper listening to God's Spirit through a passage of Scripture. Prayer and journaling are another important part of our evenings together. Supporting one another and forging out new friendships has been one of the most valuable results of this ministry. Confidentiality, boundaries and respect are key values at Girl's Night Out.
The group has an open-door concept allowing participants the freedom to attend the evenings that suit their schedules. Our hope is that we would be an extended arm of love to our community and our friends; offering a safe place for women who are discovering they are on a spiritual journey.
On the flip side, "girls just wanna have fun", so this group also offers social events designed to help us celebrate and break out of what often feels like an ordinary life. Ultimately friendships are blossoming and women are being reminded of how fantastic it is to be women! Feel free to join us!
