Love & Respect

[for Life Transformation, click here]

Love & Respect weekend retreats and seminars, for couples and singles, help people understand male female communication better.

Already a number of couples in Kingsfield have benefitted greatly from a weekend encounter with this teaching. (ask them!)

The Love & Respect seminar comes to us via DVD from Dr. Emerson Eggerichs and his wife Sarah.

Emerson and Sarah have 3 adult children, Jonathan, David and Joy. Get to know Emerson through this video, as he talks about the Crazy Cycle at www.loveandrespect.com

"Excited and burdened about male and female communication, Emerson launched the Love and Respect Conferences in August 1999 to serve husbands and wives.

Sarah and Emerson are convinced that a truth hidden in plain sight for 2000 years can make a difference in every marriage. This truth is found in Ephesians 5:33. Husbands must love their wives and wives must respect their husbands.

Emerson writes, "You may remember how the Beatles sang, 'All you need is love.' I absolutely disagree with that conclusion. Five out of ten marriages today are ending in divorce because love alone is not enough. Yes, love is vital, especially for the wife, but what we have missed is the husband's need for respect." (from www.loveandrespect.com)

How can you experience this transformation in your marriage? Well, of course, Christ is the source of transformation. And in ourexperience, He is using Love & Respect as a tool to teach and equip men and women to understand and live well together.

If you have been in a Love & Respect weekend already, or know someone who has, you might plan to gather a few couples into a new Life Transformation Group around the Love & Resoect DVDs. It would be helpful to have a couple present in such a group who has experienced the material at least once before. Contact Dianne Loerchner if you are interested, to arrange resources to do that.

Alternatively, you might wish to wait for future weekend retreats or seminars, or the possibility of an ongoing weekly class format. If you are interested, please contact Dianne Loerchner or Tim Doherty.

We look forward to seeing men and women grow in understanding and communication through this dynamic encounter.

OR,

consider becoming part of a Life Transformation Group (formerly known as Home Churches). People consistently say that these regular gatherings with others have significantly helped their relationships to thrive, and mature. See Life Transformation.

Or you may be seeking more intensive help through counselling. See Counselling.
