Kingsfield College

Equipment for the King’s field

Kingsfield is a multiplying movement of churches who bring the kingdom of Jesus Christ to relevant reality where we live and wherever we go.  We are Christians who say…

  • No one gets left behind
  • Our leaders lead
  • I am a disciple of Jesus and I contribute to his Kingdom
  • We exist for the world our Lord came to save

For we are God’s fellow workers. You are God’s field…  (1 Corinthians 3:9)

What is Kingsfield College?

Kingsfield College is a multi-faceted approach to growing and equipping you to serve the King wherever he leads you.

You are a child of God: called, gifted, and on mission through your home, neighbourhood, work, school, church, and community activities. Wherever you go you are an ambassador of the King. Do you feel well equipped for this missional task?

To live what God has called us to we need equipment to understand the Scriptures, to think theologically, to know the Church and her history, to live in relationships, and to live a rooted and relevant mission.

Open to anyone, Kingsfield College will offer “Equipment” of various shapes and sizes. As a participant you will be asked to put into practice what you learn and learn well what you put into practice so that we become the most effective followers of Jesus for the sake of this world our Lord came to save. You will become a servant leader who leads in the sphere of influence God has given you.

Kingsfield College is an invitation for you to invest in God’s investment in you.

How Do I Join?

You simply register for the Equipment that interests you or fits your discipleship needs.   (To register, call Anita at the church office at 519-236-4933, e-mail or click here for a form you can complete and submit to the church office)

Once you’ve registered we will begin tracking what Equipment you take. You are welcome to choose any Equipment offered, but we hope you will round out your growth by engaging Equipment from the four broad categories below. Our tracking of your growth will help us encourage you to engage areas of equipping that mature you as a disciple and servant of Jesus.

Kingsfield College Certificate

A Kingsfield College Certificate will be awarded to those who complete:

Bible & Theology: 4 Equipments

Examples: Biblical surveys and book studies, archeology, theological studies, and how to interpret Scripture, etc.

Church, Culture & Mission: 4 Equipments

Examples: leadership, church history, worship, missions, church planting, world religions, secular culture, etc.

Knowing Me & Others: 4 Equipments

Examples: LifeKeys, parenting, marriage, conflict resolution, and relationships, spiritual disciplines, etc.

Service & Leadership: 4 Equipments

Examples: Jane Finch or Colombia team, community service or sports, church ministry volunteer, etc. (participation and guided reflection required)

What Does This Cost?

With each Equipment taken we suggest a participant fee of $25 (except “Service & Leadership” which has only a time & talent cost). This participant fee is not a charitable donation and is not required for participation, but will help us cover costs and grow our capacity to offer excellent resources.

These monies will make it possible for us to build a financial foundation from which to develop leaders in Kingsfield and supplement our own leader-teachers with guests and resources from the wider body of Christ. Financial participation also enhances your ownership of and commitment to discipleship growth.

In addition, there may be costs for books or other resources depending on the Equipment taken.

Who Leads This?

Our pastors will oversee Kingsfield College and be responsible for teaching and finding teachers and leaders both from within Kingsfield churches and from other sources.

We would anticipate a number of different people leading and teaching throughout the year.
