The Monday Muse ~ Imperfection

Here we are at the start of a new week. We have just gathered as the body
of Christ with a bunch of imperfect brothers and sisters on a journey to
find ourselves closer to the heart of God. Some of us are harder to love
than the others, all of us continue to sin but we journey on together this
imperfect herd of sheep with our Shepherd Jesus.
What are we called to do?
Not just this day but every day. WE are called to love the Lord your God
with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and to
love your neighbour as yourself (Matt 22:37-40). All of us care deeply for
someone who is hurting, someone God has placed on your heart. We are to
walk along side and love them. We cannot fix them and we are foolish to
try, but we can pray and point them to someone who can meet their needs in
ways that we will never understand. Psalm 55:22 says cast all your cares on
the Lord, Jesus promises if you are weary and heavy laden come to me and I
will give you rest (Matt 11:28). If you are weary and heavy laden today
reach out to Jesus and ask someone to walk along side you. If you are asked
to walk along side, love them and pray with them, and watch God do His
work. You just might be there to witness a miracle.
